Dear director,
I am writing this letter to express my interest to serve as a teacher.
By profession, i had two years of experience actively serving as an english teacher/lecturer handling 8th grade to 12th grade. Added to this, teaching being two way growing field, i had four years of experience as a home tutor handling all subjects for primary level children till 10th grade. At your job appointment, i would like to dedicate and enhance my art of teaching for forthcoming younger generations and gain wide experience in my passionate job and to improvise for the betterment of your institution. I am certain that i would make a valuable position at your institution.
My educational background includes bachelor of arts in english literature from sri sarada college for women, affiliated to periyar university, salem, india. Also, pursued master of arts in english literature from the same institution. I am certified for ug seminar under the topic war horse - a journey from a trivial horse to a war horse and for paper presentation entitled as dawn and dusk of newspaper. Also certified for pg project under the topic haunting american classic: a study of sylvia plath’s the bell jar which introduced me to knowledge on a research project that kindle my interest on the same. Further certified for pg seminars entitled to courage as a changing force in the help and finnish literature – aleksis kivi’s seven brothers.
During my degree programmes, i have enthusiastically participated in english and tamil dramas, drawing and oratory and won prizes and certificates. These co-scholastic programmes added special interest to my literary and art field which widely helped me out during my working period. With fine opportunities opened, i was certified also for add- on courses like vedic mathematics and bakery through my institute. Having ardent desire for language courses completed three examinations in hindi, namely prathamic, madhyama and rashtrabhasha. Apart from this, i learnt classical instrument (veena) and song for few years.
During the service period, i involved with students to counsel them regularly and took part in parent-teacher meetings that helped me to learn psychology of individual children. I practiced children in class room activities like presentation, role play, recitation and kindled their interest in writing poetry where i learnt art of eco-friendly teaching at its best levels. Having these artistic skills, communication skills and sociability, i would like to put used the knowledge which i have already gained. My readability to learn new things in near future would help me to serve at its best. With growing knowledge and mentality to learn from criticism, i believe, i would be a fit person to work at your institution.
