I am Anum ,living in Turin since 2 years,studying Pediatric Dentistry .Persuing ESL as a part time job is an utmost necessity here in Italy . Lack of knowledge ,regarding english being taught at schools is one of the reason , parents need to do some extra efforts to make their children fluent in English .Being a student of pediatric dentistry ,i am very good at dealing with kids ,their behaviour managment . Learning an entirely different language for kids is always a very exciting experience for me and dealing with them, while at the same time, making them comfortable in their respective zones, I always make sure that my student doesnot find me as a teacher ,rather a caretaker, so that he/she feels comfortable while playing and learning too. I follow some particular methods of ESL, which I found beneficial for others as well for my own kids.
They are as follows.
1) Division of an hour into activities like :
a) Phonetics
b)Vocabulary Building
c)Basic Idiomatic Expressions learning. ( for e.g: come here, stand up, sit down,ETC)
d)Story Reading / Story Telling
e)Flashcards and visual learning .
Planned and systematic ways are always helpful in achieving somehting youve always desired for .
